A former colonel of the 5th Virginia Infantry and A.D.C. on the staff of Gen. Edward &#8220;Allegheny&#8221; Johnson, Harman was killed at the Battle of Waynesboro on March 2, 1865. This monument has been moved a few times from its original site.

The bodies of brothers Turner and Richard Ashby were brought here from the original burial locations in years after the war. This site is on the edge of the Confederate section of Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Mt. Hebron is just opposite of the Winchester National Cemetery.
